Georgia Fox | artist

Georgia Fox is a self-taught artist based in Sydney, living and working on Gadigal Land. Originally from Melbourne, she spent her early years growing up in a small coastal town on the Mornington Peninsula, Victoria.

Georgia’s painting practice began in high school and has continued for two decades alongside her university studies and career as a theatre publicist. Her dedication accelerated in recent years to reveal a graphic and expressive visual language that occupies the space between control and freedom, thinking and feeling, resolve and uncertainty.

Often inspired by a line from a book, a song, a photo or a memory, Georgia’s vivid compositions belie an emotional depth, using high-key, contrasting hues to invoke a feeling of aliveness in the present moment.
